Wisdom From a Serial Entrepreneur


I was excited to see my friend Tom X Lee speak a few weeks back at a private event.

He's founded multiple companies and sold One Medical Group to Amazon last year for 3.9 billion.

As many of you know, my Brownie Bites method includes taking small steps each day toward the life you want, as opposed to an all or nothing mindset.

Tom spoke about this very thing during his talk, and I'm happy to share some of the behind the scenes insights.

One Medical started with just one clinic in San Francisco and now has more than 150 locations.

While the business now is enormous, they had to start somewhere. Tom said it’s important when starting anything to:

1. 💫 Find your North Star (guiding principles!)

2. 👁️‍🗨️ Focus on one core thing

3. 🚶‍♀️ Walk before you run. “You have to figure out the basics.”

I believe this mindset applies to starting businesses, a passion project, and improving our health.

We have to start somewhere and start small.
