Hello Reader, welcome to my first newsletter about Functional Health. In this edition I talk about reverse aging, longevity, and biomarkers.

100 Years of Healthy Living?

Nobody wants to live to 100 and be sick, but what if we could live 100 healthy years?

I believe in lifestyle as medicine, and taking a holistic view of our health. The more I know about what's happening with my body, the more I can make lifestyle decisions to reverse my age (or at least stop premature aging).

🧠 That includes insights into biomarkers (biological molecules in your cells, blood, other body fluids, and tissues) so we can track our health.

I signed up for Function Health, a new startup run by Dr. Mark Hyman (former Cleveland Clinic Functional Health Director), so I could get lab work that I otherwise would not have access to.

Traditional Western doctors will not order lab tests unless you're already experiencing symptoms for a problem. I would rather have insights about potential issues before they become problems.

I've got my first test results back and I already have major insights into ways to improve my health.

Hint: It was an experiment with my diet that didn't go well... :)
